Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of the DEFI app, operated by DEFI APP LABS LTD (company number 17159909), registered in England and Wales. By using DEFI you agree to these terms.

1. About DEFI

DEFI is an athletic identity platform for functional fitness athletes. It allows athletes to track performance, compete in challenges, log workouts, and build a living athletic identity card driven by real performance data.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use DEFI. By creating an account you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have parental or guardian consent.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
You must provide accurate information when creating your account
You may not impersonate another person or use a username that is offensive or misleading
You may not create multiple accounts to manipulate rankings or challenge outcomes
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms

4. Challenges and Competition

DEFI's challenge system is based on an honour system. By submitting a challenge result you confirm that:

The score you submitted is accurate and genuinely achieved
The workout was completed as described in the challenge
You have not manipulated or falsified your result in any way

DEFI reserves the right to remove results or suspend accounts where manipulation is suspected.

5. Community Predictions

DEFI's community predictions feature allows athletes to back competitors using DEFI Points — a virtual in-app currency with no real-world monetary value. DEFI Points cannot be purchased, sold, transferred, or exchanged for real money or any other items of value. The predictions feature is purely for community engagement and entertainment.

6. DEFI Supporter Subscription

DEFI offers an optional DEFI Supporter subscription at £2.99/month. Subscribers receive removal of feed advertisements and a Supporter badge on their athlete card.

Subscriptions are billed monthly through Apple's App Store
You can cancel at any time through your Apple ID settings
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods
Subscription prices may change with reasonable notice

7. Advertising

DEFI is free to use and supported by light banner advertisements displayed in the app feed. Ads are introduced after a 14-day grace period from account creation. DEFI Supporter subscribers can remove all ads. We do not allow advertisers to access your personal data directly.

8. User Content

You retain ownership of content you post on DEFI (profile photos, workout logs, challenge callouts). By posting content you grant DEFI APP LABS LTD a non-exclusive licence to display that content within the app. You must not post content that is:

Offensive, abusive, or harassing to other athletes
False, misleading, or fraudulent
In violation of any third party's rights
In violation of any applicable laws

9. Prohibited Conduct

You must not:

Use DEFI for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or disrupt the app or its infrastructure
Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the app
Scrape or harvest data from DEFI without our written permission
Manipulate rankings, scores, or challenge outcomes

10. Intellectual Property

All DEFI branding, design, code, and content (excluding user-generated content) is owned by DEFI APP LABS LTD. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

DEFI is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be available at all times, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose. Use DEFI at your own risk.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DEFI APP LABS LTD shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for DEFI Supporter in the 12 months preceding the claim.

13. Health and Safety

DEFI involves physical exercise challenges. You are solely responsible for ensuring that any exercise you undertake is appropriate for your fitness level and health condition. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before beginning any new exercise programme. DEFI APP LABS LTD accepts no liability for injury, illness, or harm arising from exercise activities.

14. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email. Continued use of DEFI after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
